Siam weed is a new weed to the island, and a little like lantana on steroids, except that it has wind-blown seeds. Early recognition of Siam weed and removal before it flowers and sets seed is critical if we are to stop it becoming established on the island.
This workshop features a speaker from Biosecurity Queensland and will provide you with information about what Siam Weed is, how to look for it, and what to do about it (and what local and state governments are doing about it).
When: Friday 17 November
Time: 1pm-2:30pm
Where: Magnetic Island Mens Shed, Horseshoe Bay.
Afternoon tea provided.
