If you've ever wanted to know more about Townsville, the region and it's history, this significant exhibition reveals the news stories, events, developments and local personalities that shaped the Townsville region from 1866 to 2016. From the declaration of municipality of Townsville in 1866, to the spirited rejuvenation of the city heart in 2016, this exhibition tracks the development of the 'Queen City' of the North.
The Museum of Tropical Queensland is open from 9.30am to 5pm, seven days a week, and also has a wide range of other activities for people of all ages to enjoy. (Closed Good Friday, Anzac Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day).
