Come and enjoy Australia Day 2018 and the long weekend, right here on Magnetic Island! With discounted Australia Day Sealink ferries ($50 family and $25 adult), you could travel the island by bus or car to test your skills in all the competitions, or find a favourite and settle into a fun Aus Day.
Here are your choices:
1. Australia Day at Alma Bay
Starting at 9am until 4pm join the fun at Alma Bay with beach cricket, beach volleyball, fastest man on the sand, surf boat races, treasure hunt, inflatable thong race, tug of war, beer garden from midday, burgers and bangers BBQ, face painting and raffles. Hosted by the Arcadian Surf Life Saving Club and supported by Sealink.

2. Base Backpackers (Nelly Bay) - The Island Bar
OZZY WEEKENDER! (Australia Day Long Weekend)
Thursday 25th
Bogan Bingo and live music from Micka Scene starting at 6pm.
Friday 26th
Base is firing up two big smokers for the ultimate cook off (Fantini VS Woodley) Punching tinnies and Smashing Winnies - more tunes from the incredible Micka Scene.
Saturday 27th
JJJ Hottest 100, BBQ will be blazing and The Way We Are closing us out.
Sunday 28th
The sounds keep coming JJJ hottest 200 and our resident DJ Babybreath Sam Halloran PLUS 50c Wings ALL DAY!
Thursday 25th

3. Arcadia Village Hotel - Annual Oz Day Cricket Match + MORE
Starting at 12pm get ready for the annual Australia Day 20/20 Big Bash Cricket Match, plus a FREE kids jumping castle and BBQ. Then party on for the evening with live music from On The Rocks starting at 5pm.
4. Picnic Bay Hotel
Head to The Picnic Bay Hotel for a fun day of GAMES, FOOD SPECIALS and PRIZES TO BE WON! What better way to spend the day with cold drinks, delicious food and your mates and of course all the Cricket Action and great tunes blaring. There'll even be LIVE MUSIC at 7pm on Saturday 27th January so it's going to be an EPIC Weekend!
