Make it a classic Mother’s Day by supporting the Mother’s Day Classic (MDC) walk or run in Alma Bay, Magnetic Island on Sunday 10 May 2015 to raise money for breast cancer research. This annual fundraising event has been held in major cities and regional areas across Australia since 1998, with local volunteer groups driving the regional events. This will be Magnetic Islands first event, so lets make it a great one!

Where: Start and ends at Alma Bay.
How to get there: Catch the Horseshoe Bay bus from Nelly Bay terminal and ask the driver to drop you at Alma Bay. Parking is available on site.
What is it?: Run or walk to raise money for cancer research, events on the day will be a 2km walk, and a 5km and 10km run.

2km Walk: An easy loop around Arcadia on Hayles Avenue with a stroll along the picturesque Geoffrey Bay.
5km Run: Along Hayles Avenue, up Gabul Way then down and around Peppers and back along Geoffrey Bay foreshore.
10km Run: A loop around Arcadia on Hayles Avenue and along the picturesque Geoffrey Bay then back up Hayles Avenue, up Gabul Way then down and around Peppers, toward Nelly Bay shops with a loop around the Esplanade then back along Sooning Street, Gabul Way and the Geoffrey Bay foreshore.

REGISTRATION AND START TIMES

Head to the Mother's Day Classic website to register by Wednesday 6 May 2015. Corporate team entries must be finalised by Wednesday 8 April 2015.
10km run starts at 8:30am
5km run starts at 9:00am
2km walk starts at 9:10am.

There will be presentations and prizes drawn from 10:00am so there will still be plenty of time remaining to head over to the Horseshoe Bay Markets.
