This year Wednesday 11 November marks the 97th anniversary of the Armistice which ended the First World War (1914–18). Each year on this day Australians observe one minute’s silence at 11am, in memory of those who died or suffered in all wars and armed conflicts.

Location: The Magnetic Island RSL will be conducting a Remembrance Day Ceremony at the Alma Bay Cenotaph.
Time: The catafalque party will mount at 10:25 am.

Everybody is welcome to attend the ceremony and are coridally requested to assemble at the Cenotaph in good time.

After the ceremony has concluded guests and vistors are invited to light refreshments at the Magnetic Island Memorial Hall at 31 Halyes Avenue, Arcadia.
