FEATURE FESTIVAL EVENT: Three bush poets join up for the inaugural Magnetic Island Poetry Slam at the R&R Bar. It’s all on for Kathie Priestley, (Queensland Bush Poet Of The Year - winner of Female Original, Female Traditional and overall Champion at the recent State Championships), Dot Church of Nelly Bay, (winner of the Queensland Novice Award) and Del Luke, (winner of the Queensland Novice Award 2009), will take you on an evocative journey through the outback and back through time.
