8.30pm onwards: DJ Chulatto (Canada, USA & Mexico) jams with world-class, ex Ministry of Sound Peter Zimny (Sweden) on sax, and Anders Grahn (Sweden) on guitar, plus friends.

Dj Chulatto
Since the ‘90’s Chulatto has been an avid music tourist, traveling the world’s most renowned underground house music scenes and cities to catch his favorite dj’s and producers in action. Ibiza, New York, Miami, Barcelona, London to name a few. Years of listening, analyzing and studying the greats led him to practice and define his own sound and style of dj’ing.
Over the last few years, Chulatto has emerged and started playing live sets at parties and clubs in Canada, USA and Mexico earning a solid reputation from partygoers and music aficionados alike.
His style can be described as Deep House, integrating classic sounds with cutting edge tech house beats and chunky driving basslines. Connect with Chulatto’s intense energy on the dance floor or get a feel for his sounds through one of his mix sets!

Mick Ellison
Mick Ellison grew up in the underground clubs of Sydney and has been playing deep vocal house and tech house for as long as he can remember. Attending parties and club nights listening to the legends Danny Tenaglia, Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, Sasha and Digweed, Carl Cox and local Sydney heavyweights Phil Smart, Simon Caldwell, Sugar Ray and Ken Cloud, inspired Mick to begin his mixing career.
Now residing in FNQ, Mick’s sets are deep, vocal and banging. Playing at parties and clubs in Sydney and now FNQ (Townsville and Cairns) for over 15 years, Mick is looking forward to playing ‘House of United Nations’ at BASE Magnetic with a friend and DJ he both admires and respects, namely Chulatto, and accomplished musician/saxophonist Peter Zimny, ex-Ministry of Sound.
“I can’t wait to play some tunes on Maggie at X-BASE, I have a lot of great memories on that beautiful island”.

Peter Zimny, a world touring saxophonist from Sweden, ex Ministry of Sound, Hed Kandi, Café MAMBO, Café Del Mar, SPACE IBIZA, THE Fontainebleau Miami club LIV/Nikki Beach Miami just to namn a few.
“I have visited the beautiful Magnetic Island in previous years and I have heard a lot about BASE Backpackers and their renowned Full Moon Parties. Since my last visit to the island in January 2016 and after checking out Base and its great venue, I've always said to myself I wanted to come back one day to play there and check out the island's club vibe.
Anders Grahn
Anders has travelled the world performing for over 20 years, starting at a young age in the international music scene as guitarist and singer in both projects of his own and with Swedish and international artists.
The DJ Live concept is something that's been an active part of Anders's musical career for the last 7 years with performances all over Scandinavia primarily, during events like the Swedish Open Tennis Tournaments, Heineken, Red Bull, but also in places like Club LIV and Nikki Beach, in Miami.
Nowadays Anders is primarily a songwriter and producer working with names like Will.I.Am & The Black Eyed Peas, Bob Sinclair, Jessica Mauboy, Dean Lewis and many more.
"I had the chance of visiting BASE once a couple of years ago, during Australia Day actually, and it was a lot of fun. Even got to come up for a guest appearance on a song or two that night. Looking forward to coming back for a full night of music and fun!"
