With lots of popular carols for everyone to join in singing, the 2017 Magnetic Island Carols By Candelight will be held on Thursday 7 December with a sausage sizzle and flame-free candles available from 5pm and carols from 7pm at Alma Bay. FREE entry.
Come all and sing Christmas carols under the stars at Alma Bay.
Everyone is invited to join in the singing of traditional and Australian carols led by Caite Mackereth. The singing will be accompanied by the Townsville Brolga Brass Band and the pageant will be by the Magnetic Island State School. There will be an appeal for donations to support Caritas Rohingya Refugee Crisis in Bangladesh. The evening will close at approximately 8 pm.
Prior to the Carols the C&K Early Childhood Centre (Kindy) will hold a sausage sizzle at Alma Bay to raise funds. This will commence at 5pm and finish at 6.45pm - just before the carols begin. There will be some seating for seniors and a special place for parents to spread out a rug to sit with their children and enjoy a family evening.
What to bring:
Some seating will be available, but bring a rug if you'd prefer to sit on the grass.
A torch to help read the words.

The Alma Park games area will not be available for the hour of the Carols.
