Come and enjoy Australia Day 2019 right here on Magnetic Island! Travel the island by bus or car to test your skills in all the competitions, or find a favourite and settle into a fun Aus Day. Sealink are offering discounted Australia Day ferry returns of $50 per family of 4, or $25 per adult.

1. Australia Day at Alma Bay - Saturday 26th January
Hosted by the Arcadian SLSC Summer Surf Program starting at 9am until 4pm join the fun at Alma Bay with the Australia Day Float, BBQ, face painting, Fastest Man On The Sand Comp, Tug of War, Inflatable Thong Race, Treasure Hunt, and a beer garden open from 12 midday. Visit their Facebook page.

2. Arcadia Village Hotel - Annual Oz Day Cricket Match + MORE
- Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th January
Starting at 12pm get ready for the annual Day On The Dirt, Australia Day Cricket Match, plus Aussie Day Games and Triple J's Hottest 100. Then party on for the evening with live music from Alien 8 starting at 4pm. Then on Sunday 27th Arcadia Village Hotel's Hottest 100 Recovery Party starts at 11am.

Triple J's Hottest 100, from 12pm AEDT, followed by music from 2pm to late, PLUS local poolside DJ’s from 2pm-7pm and after party DJ’s after Triple J Countdown to Number 1, including CUT SNAKE Obesity, Scott Walker, Alexander Absynth, and Avnu, … AND Thong Throwing Competition, HotDog Eating Competition, Volleyball, plus food and ice cold beverages available all day.

4. Peppers Blue On Blue

A fun family-friendly day on the Nelly Bay Marina where kids can enjoy a bouncing castle on the Marina Deck from 11:30am to 2:30pm, activities with Jo, our Kids Club Ambassador and Lime & Mango Spiders.
A special Boardwalk Restaurant lunch menu features an Aussie rib
fillet burger, Hawaiian chicken and bacon burger, smoked salmon
blinis, XXXX Gold beer-battered fish & chips and Tim Tam
