Got a book in you, or any stories begging to be told? Afraid of taking the first or next step with your creative writing, and seeking new pathways and portals into your imagination? This course is about far more than writing! Suitable for all stages, learn how to open your bigger life creativity while being inspired, empowered, and guided into immersing in the deeper mystery of what you don't know you know...

Over the weekend we'll be exploring a number of different creative writing techniques, collected and innovated over years of being an author of over fifty books published nationally and internationally, and writing teacher of twenty plus years, and all geared towards stretching you creatively - with the ultimate aim of getting you to think and write in ways you might not necessarily have known you were capable of. It will be a fun, dynamic, inspiring, and playful space with a fellow word and story loving tribe and is suitable for all levels - from someone never having creatively written before to being several books down the track.

Emphasis is placed on participants feeling connected and safe - with a respect and recognition that there can be a lot of fear and vulnerability in the creative process, including all that unlovely adult baggage of perfectionism and worry about it 'not being good enough' etc. Because of this, no one is ever required to share their writing out loud (though those who'd like to do so are welcome and encouraged). Something that frequently results from this course, is the chance to connect with others in your local area interested in writing, and create further opportunities for buddying up on an ongoing basis.

TIME: The course runs from 9am-3pm Saturday and Sunday at Magnetic Island RSL Hall.in Arcadia
BYO: lunch, water bottle, paper / writing journal and pen. (Please, only if absolutely necessary bring a device but in the context of this workshop it tends to work way more effectively to be unplugged).
