Hooray! Saturday 8 June is World Oceans Day and Magnetic Island has two great events where you can celebrate:
1. World Ocean’s Day - Kids
Saturday 8th June from 10am to lunchtime
At Picnic Bay Beach and Surf Life Saving Club
Cost: Free
Cost: Free
Help celebrate this great global event with local beach fun at Maggie's Picnic Bay Surf Club! From 10am join in free beach games, mini marine talks and crafts for kids of all ages. We will finish off the morning with a fabulous fundraising sausage sizzle brought to you by Maggie Girl Guides.
Join us for a fantastic family day out and discover more about looking after our beautiful oceans. Grown ups to be supervised by children at all times.
2. World Ocean’s Day Info Session
Saturday 8th June from 9.30am to 12.30pm
At Pleasure Divers, 10 Marine Parade, Arcadia.
Cost: Free
Come and celebrate World Ocean’s Day and hear several short ocean general knowledge presentations, as well as local ocean issues with marine biologists and dive instructors who will answer any of your questions.
