You are invited to attend the launch of a new book written by local veteran and historian, James (Jim) Davis. The book details the colourful history of the Magnetic Island RSL Sub-Branch since it began in 1956. At over 180 pages, the book is full of historical and current information and photographs, is fully indexed and also lists every person who’s been a member of the Sub-Branch in the last 60 years.

10am: Morning Tea. After the official launch, the books will be on sale for $35 each and the author will be available to sign copies – only 100 have been printed, so sales may be limited. Free entry.
12 noon: Official lunch at Peppers Blue On Blue, Boardwalk Restaurant $28 for their lunch special: mains, dessert and a drink (at your own cost).
