Our group selects and sings songs for fun. Some songs we sing a cappella, (some with guitar or piano accompaniment and some with a backing CD). Our repertoire includes jazz standards, Frank Sinatra, Calypso, Irish, Australian, humorous, sixties songs, show tunes and musicals. We welcome members’ suggestions for new songs. New members are welcome – no experience is necessary.

What is U3A?
U3A is a self-help, not for profit organization devoted to learning for the fun of learning, while making new friends and keeping old ones. We offer a number of courses in Townsville and on Magnetic Island. There is an annual $40 membership fee that allows you access to all of the U3A classes and includes one free class.

Class attendance costs are based on a small contribution to management expenses, venue and materials (where relevant).
